About VR Archives

VR Archives is a Singapore-registered, Sri Lanka-based immersive heritage studio. We create historically grounded, cinematic virtual reality experiences that allow audiences to step inside the world's most significant cultural sites not as they stand today, but as they once truly were.

Founded on the belief that virtual reality could become a serious medium for cultural interpretation, we set out to build a production standard capable of serving tourism operators, educators, heritage institutions, and global audiences at the same time.

Combining archival research, immersive design, and evolving production technologies, we aim to make history more accessible, emotional, and engaging for audiences.

Our Vision

To become a global leader in immersive storytelling, shaping how people learn, travel, and engage with heritage and culture.

Our Mission

To create credible, cinematic, immersive journeys about culturally significant places, while improving the production systems needed to scale globally.

Our Purpose

"We exist to make the past meaningful for future generations by transforming cultural memory into experiences they can understand, remember, and carry forward."

Our Values

Authentic

Every experience should represent the past with care, accuracy, and respect, preserving the cultural significance behind each story.

Immersive

Storytelling and world-building that feels alive and unrestricted, creating experiences that stay with audiences long after they end.

Innovative

Seek new technologies, workflows, and creative systems that expand what immersive storytelling can achieve responsibly and ethically.
